Halloween 2009

Amara was a beautiful Angel for Halloween...how fitting, huh?

Griffen didn't dress up this year, but he was so cute with Amara. We went to a nice little neighborhood up the street for trick or treating....since we don't have any Grandma's here :-(
Most people know that Amara is TERRIFIED of Masks...thanks to Uncle KJ :-). Well, the 4th house that we went to, the guy who answered was wearing THE MASK...the EXACT, scary devilish mask with long, stringy hair that Uncle KJ had. The one that has given Amara nightmares for two years!! (PS...KJ use to get that mask out and tease all of the kids, but Mar was the only one that thought it was scary; Ant and Areian would just stare and laugh!)
It was funny and sad...she IMMEDIATELY covered up her face with both arms and hid behind her brother. After that, she was done! We did go to a couple more houses after that, but I had to go to the door with them and I had to carry her. She kept her face hidden in my shoulder until I said "It's okay sweetie, they're not scary. There's no mask." But she still wouldn't say "trick or treat" anymore after that!! My poor little angel!

Family Pictures

Mar being...Mar

Amara's new thing is that she's "A Great _____". She's basically great at everything!! She was helping me make breakfast the other day and said "I'm a GREAT Egger!"(she was stirring up the eggs). She's also a Great Girl, a Great Finder, a Great Bouncer...well, she's just Great, ask her!! LOL!

I'm sure most of you have seen the Old Navy "Supermodelquins". Rita is the 3 year old. She's the exact same size as Amara and every time she comes to the store, she hugs her and touches her. When we went into the store Tuesday night, Amara and Rita were dressed the same. Mar thought it was great...so we took their picture!

In this picture, we had been at Griffen's football game and Mar was pretty tired. I came in and put her on the couch...coat and all. Griffen and I were just talking on the other couch and all of the sudden Amara gets up, stumbles around for a minute and then goes into the kitchen and lays down by the front door! Oh yeah, and she took her coat half way off in the process. It was hilarious...she just slept walked herself right onto the hard kitchen floor. I only left her there long enough to take a picture!

And here is a picture of the new "pink bedroom" Amara picked out all by herself! She had about 10 choices and she picked out the most frilly, little girly bedroom there was!! And all this time I thought she'd be a tomboy!! NOPE!!

Griff's Football Season "Pullman Panthers"

I have a ton of pictures on my camera of football, but my "Great Finder" as she like to call herself, (AKA: Amara), lost my USB cable so I will have to get a CD of all my pics and then I'll update again!! And Mama, this will also fix the size of the pics...because I sent them from my phone, you can't look at them any bigger than they are here...so I'll work on that CD!! :-)

He had a lot of fun this year. We were so excited when we FINALLY found a tackle team here. Everyone here seems to just play soccer....something Griff's just not into. Although they didn't have a lot of wins, they learned a lot and they did win against the reigning champs from last year and they won their last game. Griffen was on the starting Offense and Defense. He played Wide Receiver and Safety.
